Yuncheng city’s Yangzhao village, in northern China’s Shanxi province, has a long history of making traditional red lanterns dating back hundreds of years. Workers at a lantern factory have been ramping up efforts to keep up with orders during peak sales season ahead of Lunar New Year, which falls on February 12 this year. The final day of the traditional Chinese New Year celebrations ends with the Lantern Festival on February 26.
