China’s economy grew by 2.3 percent year on year in 2020, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said in a statement on Sunday. The annual per capita GDP is expected to stand at 72,447 yuan ($11,190) for 2020, an increase of 2 percent over the previous year. “The closely watched indicator exceeded $10,000 for two years in a row,” according to Sheng Laiyun, deputy head of the NBS.
