China’s largest molten salt solar thermal power plant is situated in Dunhuang, northwest China’s Gansu Province. By receiving sunlight and heating up the molten-salt, it can constantly generate electricity. The power station generates 390 million kilowatts of electricity per year, reducing 350,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
