China weighs response to US consulate closure

The diplomatic relationship between China and the United States has further cooled with the abrupt closure of the Chinese consulate in Houston amid allegations of spying. FRANCE 24’s international affairs editor Robert Parsons says China will not want to be sucked into a tit-for-tat retaliation, but will need to respond to avoid looking weak on the world stage.
