    China urges Japan not to send misleading signals to “Taiwan independence” forces, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said on Thursday, one day after Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga referred to Taiwan as “country” in a debate with an opposition party leader.
