China is once again calling for the release of the senior Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou. The statement comes amid reports that the U.S. government is discussing a deal that would allow Meng to return to China on condition that she admits to some of the allegations against her. She’s reportedly unwilling to admit to allegations that she says are not true. Meng was detained two years ago in Canada at the request of the United States, pending extradition for bank fraud charges.
