Packages 2B and 2C for Stage 2 of the railway line between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, were completed on March 29, marking the realization of a two-way connection between the two emirates.
The project tackled numerous landform challenges, such as complex terrain and geological layers, crossing the vast desert and many key sections of the country.
Since the track-laying started on April 30 last year, the construction team has applied a full set of homegrown construction equipment to complete 451 kilometers on the mainline, which has won the praise of clients and local communities.
The Stage 2 project is a key component of the country’s national railway network.
