China has released a statement today on Japan’s decision to release water from the Fukushima nuclear plant. China’s Foreign Ministry called it “extremely irresponsible” saying the release doesn’t only affect Japan but will also seriously damage international public health and the interests of people in neighboring countries. Beijing is urging Tokyo to review the proposal and respond to the concerns.
