China floods: Gov’t allocates more relief funds

#China’s Ministry of Finance said Tuesday that 830 million yuan have been allocated to 12 flood-stricken provinces and regions. That’s on top of the 460 million yuan in flood prevention funds issued by the central government in May. The ministry said the money will be used to repair broken dams, damaged agricultural infrastructure and carry out post-flood reconstruction.
