China: Activist Hu Shigen jailed for ‘subversion’

Hu Shigen, a Chinese human rights activist has been sentenced to 7 and a half years in jail, on charges of plotting to overthrow the ruling communist party.
The case is part of a year-long government campaign, that’s led to the arrest of more than 300 lawyers and human rights activists
