Sydney Zoo staff have been left devastated after the body of a chimpanzee was found in a moat surrounding its enclosure.

Keepers found 10-year-old Mogli during their checks, this morning forcing the zoo to close for a short time.

It’s hoped a post-mortem will determine how chimp made its way into the water.
