Chief Scientific Adviser reveals lockdown is working and Raab pledges £75m to bring Britons home

Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab revealed a new arrangement with commercial airlines and £75 million of funding to bring Britons abroad back to the UK. He conducted the government’s daily covid-19 update on Monday flanked by the Chief Scientific Adviser, Sir Patrick Vallance, and Yvonne Doyle from Public Health England.

Sir Patrick revealed how the lockdown and enforced social distancing measures are working, though warned the worst is yet to come.
