Police today revealed their post mortem which confirmed how the young girl died.
“I can now disclose that cause of death, Charlise was, that she suffered a fatal gunshot wound and that’s how she died” – NSW Police Detective Superintendent Danny Doherty.
They still don’t know why, a clear motive eluding officers.
Police have re-interviewed her mother.
First spotted at the BP Marsden Park, just before 6pm on Thursday 13th January 2022 was the boat and tray of the ute covered over,. perhaps to conceal the plastic barrel and its tragic contents.
Just after 7pm, police say Justin Stein again drove along Victoria Road at Drummoyne. Then minutes later on Bayswater Street in Drummoyne, he was seen heading to the boat ramp.
Early the following morning police say Stein made another attempt to offload the barrel, stopping at the Windsor Boat Ramp for ten minutes.
He then headed to the Colo River Jetty before finally dumping the drum on the edge of Lower Colo Road.
Today the search continued for both a murder weapon and a location where Charlise Mutten was shot.
