The Potala Palace square in Lhasa, capital of southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region, has served as a place where local people enjoy leisure, happiness and contentment. The square is also an iconic landmark that attracts tourists. Chinese President Xi Jinping made an inspection tour of Lhasa on Thursday. He visited the Drepung Monastery, Barkhor Street and the Potala Palace square, and also chatted with local residents.
