Growing up in Thailand where the monarchy is promoted everywhere from the school classrooms to television programmes, Mitree Chitinunda had been a devoted royalist for decades. In 2019, he even had a portrait of the king shaved into his hair. But a year later amid protests demanding a new government and reform of the monarchy, Mitree changed his mind, and eventually his hairstyle.
