The first temporary hospital for COVID-19 patients started operating in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) on August 1 by admitting the first group of more than 20 patients, according to CGTN reporter Zhu Dan.
The temporary hospital, located at Asia World-Expo, is mainly accepting patients aged 18-60, and provides 2,000 beds, 24-hour medical services, lung X-rays and blood tests.
The HKSAR reported 3,272 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 17 deaths as of Friday, while the number of newly diagnosed patients has exceeded 100 in 10 days.
