Recent from CGTN:
The COVID-19 pandemic has already cost the global tourism industry at least 22 billion U.S. dollars based solely on reduced travel by Chinese tourists, and these losses could double in the coming months, according to estimates by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC).
The WTTC, which represents the private travel and tourism sector with over 200 CEOs as members, said that while it was too soon to put a final tally on the potential losses, the impact could be to the tune of 50 billion U.S. dollars based on previous outbreaks.
CGTN BizTalk speaks to Gloria Guevara, president & CEO of the WTCC, to look at the damage on travel and tourism from the coronavirus pandemic and how we can ensure it recovers quickly.
BizTalk is a 30-minute business interview show that airs Saturdays from 4:30 to 5:00 PM BJT and rebroadcasts throughout the weekend. The show is also posted on social media platforms including Facebook and YouTube.
