A traditional Tibetan horse racing festival named “Dangjiren” kicked off on the grasslands of Damxung County in Lhasa City, southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region, on Saturday, drawing tens of thousands of local herdsmen and tourists. The festival, listed as a state-level intangible cultural heritage in 2008, has a history of over 300 years.
