In the last 10 years, China has strengthened its position as one of the world’s largest economies, especially consolidating its role as an engine of growth for the global economy. In 2020, China officially eliminated extreme poverty, and the Chinese economy has entered a new stage. Carlos Aquino Rodriguez, director of the Center for Asian Studies of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, shared his view on the role China is playing in today’s world, relations between China and Latin American countries, and the upcoming 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
