A car bomb blast at a luxury hotel in the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta killed at least four people and wounded 11 on April 21, 2021. China’s ambassador to Pakistan, Nong Rong, was staying at the Serena Hotel but was not in the building at the time of the blast. The Pakistani Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.
