Captain Sir Tom Moore has been made an honorary colonel at Harrogate Army Foundation College.
The 100-year-old World War Two veteran was given the appointment in celebration of his milestone birthday.
Earlier in the year, Captain Sir Tom raised nearly £33 million for the NHS by walking 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday.
He was also recently knighted by the Queen for his fundraising achievement.
