Hopes for a tourism bubble between Canberra and Wellington appear to have burst with business leaders being told it’s just too soon.
Canberra Airport was so confident, it started taking registrations for a July 1st takeoff – even with no airline locked in.
But the plan’s effectively been grounded by political leaders here, and across the Tasman.
