    Canada’s premiers are expected to hold a press conference on Thursday with Quebec Premier François Legault as chair. Ontario Premier Doug Ford will join other premiers virtually. They will take questions from journalists.

    It comes as the country continues to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and work on rolling out the vaccine nationwide. Each province is handling its own rollout, but the federal government maintains all Canadians who want a vaccine will have access to one by the end of September.

    But as the country still faces vaccine shortages, the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) on Wednesday recommended provinces and territories extend the time between first and second vaccine doses to four months.
