Health workers in Indonesia are demanding more government support to turn around the shocking rates of cervical cancer in the country.

Three hundred and fifty women a week die from cervical cancer in Indonesia. That’s more than Australia recorded for all of last year.

Social stigma and the embarrassment of talking about the reproductive system is stopping women from getting treatment until it’s too late.

Indonesia correspondent Anne Barker reports.
