California wildfires: More people evacuated as fires continue to scorch state

Global News published this video item, entitled “California wildfires: More people evacuated as fires continue to scorch state” – below is their description.

California’s wildfires continued to scorch the state on Monday evening into Tuesday as approximately two million acres of land was burned. One of the fires, known as the Creek Fire near Fresno, prompted at least a dozen people to be evacuated early Tuesday from the state’s Sierra National Forest by the California Army National Guard. Mandatory evacuations have been ordered in response to the fire near Fresno, which is spreading rapidly up hillsides and being fed by extremely dry vegetation. The El Dorado fire also continued its burn, after being sparked by a smoke-generating device used at a gender reveal party, and has burned about 45,000 acres.
