California to require proof of vaccination or weekly tests for state employees

California will require state employees to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination or submit to weekly testing. State employees must provide proof of immunization by Aug. 2. Those who are unvaccinated on that day will be required to produce a negative Covid test at least once a week. A similar requirement for healthcare facilities, hospitals and congregate facilities will go into effect on Aug. 9.
