California moves to protect online privacy
There are growing concerns in the US about online privacy under President Donald Trump after many national safeguards were scrapped by his administration earlier this year.
The state of California, the home of many tech companies, is trying to protect personal data by introducing a new bill to force the firms that sell internet access in the state to change the way they do business.
