ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “Businesses raise privacy concerns over ACT government’s use of COVID-19 check-in app data | ABC News” – below is their description.
A Canberra business owner is accusing the ACT government of violating his human rights after he was told data from the Check In CBR app did not reflect his expected patron numbers.
He now has the backing of the Canberra Liberals, who say the Health Department has gone against its own promise the data would only be used for contact tracing.
But the government has defended the letters, saying it’s protecting the community.
