Survivors of a massacre in Burkina Faso say they have been left defenceless and homeless.
At least 100 people were killed.
And there is anger against the country’s military rulers who promised to end such attacks.
The director of a daily newspaper says, the military takeover may have been applauded at first – but insecurity persists.
Nearly 300 civilians and soldiers have been reportedly killed over the past three months.
Now calls are mounting for the military to shift its approach and improve security, as thousands of displaced families who have lost everything, are forced to rebuild their lives.
Al Jazeera’s Katia-Lopez Hodayan reports.
