U.S. President Joe Biden on Sunday condemned the racially-motivated mass shooting at a Buffalo, N.Y. supermarket Saturday that left 10 dead and three injured, calling it a “stain on the soul of America.”
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul called it an act of white supremacy terrorism, and expressed outrage that the shooter livestreamed his rampage on a social media platform for almost two minutes.
As Jennifer Johnson explains, the supermarket shooting has renewed calls for tighter gun control and more action on stopping violent extremism.
