Though they perform with bloody face paint, guttural roars and blasting beats, a death metal band in Taiwan takes to the stage to sing about peace and wellness as taught in Buddhist sutras. Jack Tung, the leader of the band Dharma, came up with the unlikely combination of heavy metal and traditional Buddhist chants for his performance in Taipei in October 2020.
