British journal Nature has issued an apology for its past labeling of the new type of coronavirus. In an editorial entitled “Stop the coronavirus stigma now,” the publication says it had mistakenly associated the virus with China and the city of Wuhan. It acknowledges that this may have led to stigma and discrimination, and worries the pandemic is fueling racism.
