Britain marks 950th anniversary of Battle of Hastings

Thousands of people have re-enacted one of the most famous events in Britain’s history.
The Battle of Hastings between William of Normandy and the Anglo-Saxon King, Harold the second, ended in victory for the French-born monarch.
It changed English society and resulted in an influx of foreign influences, topics which are particularly relevant in post-Brexit Britain.
Al Jazeera’s Sonia Gallego watched the commemorations in southern England.
