Brexit named 2016 word of the year

Brexit has been named word of the year by the dictionary publisher Collins. It says use of the word has risen 3,400 percent in 2016, and its prominent use throughout the year makes it a clear winner.

We asked people on the streets of London if they knew what any of the words on the shortlist, including JOMO and throw shade, mean.
