Chief Medical Officer Professor Chris Whitty says ‘I would not encourage someone to hug and kiss their elderly relatives’ over the Christmas window of 23-27 December. “Would I encourage people to hug and kiss elderly relatives? No, I would not,” he says. “It’s not against the law – you can do it within the rules that are there – but it doesn’t make sense.” He added that a choice need to be weighed up was to consider whether they want to be “hugged again” once Christmas is over.Sky News YouTube Channel
