Boris Johnson has told the Commons that schools in England will not open until 8 March.
He said the Government had been hoping to begin classes immediately after the February half-term, but that was not possible.
The Prime Minister also said he would present to MPs in the week commencing 22 February, a plan to take the country out of lockdown in a ‘gradual and phased’ way.
