BREAKING: Matt Hancock dismisses looser lockdown rules, as debate begins in the House of Commons

Sky News published this video item, entitled “BREAKING: Matt Hancock dismisses looser lockdown rules, as debate begins in the House of Commons” – below is their description.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock has spoken against calls for an immediate resumption of ‘life as normal’ for everyone except those who are ‘vulnerable’. The so-called Great Barrington declaration, signed by leading experts from the universities of Oxford, Nottingham, Edinburgh, Exeter, Cambridge, Sussex and York, suggests herd immunity as a way forward. Critics say the declaration ignores the growing evidence on ‘long COVID’, where otherwise healthy individuals who contract the virus are left with debilitating long-term symptoms, sometimes for months after a mild infection.
