    A simultaneous and ‘mutual’ ceasefire between Israel and Hamas will begin at 2am on Friday, allowing food and medicine to enter Gaza.

    Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced the ceasefire, and a statement from the cabinet called the truce “mutual and unconditional”.
