BREAKING: Greater Manchester mayor can’t accept Tier 3 restrictions on the government’s terms

Sky News published this video item, entitled “BREAKING: Greater Manchester mayor can’t accept Tier 3 restrictions on the government’s terms” – below is their description.

The mayor of Greater Manchester says he is still willing to do a deal, but says it can’t be on the terms that the goverment has offered. Mr Burnham says “we could only accept further restrictions with full financial support” and he put forward a costed package of measures to support people on the lowest incomes and those self-employed. £15m a month was what we thought was needed across the 10 boroughs, he adds, to effectively top up the furlough scheme to 80% – costing £90m to the end of the financial year.
