BREAKING: Fines for not wearing face coverings on transport start Monday – UK COVID-19 briefing

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps announced fines for people who fail to wear face coverings on public transport under new rules that start on Monday.

Transport operators will be able to refuse permission to travel to people who aren’t wearing a face covering.

In the daily coronavirus briefing, he also outlined investment in biofuels to help the aviation industry be more environmentally-friendly.
