    At least 25 people, including a police officer, were killed in a shootout in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Thursday. The remainder of the deceased were suspected members of a drug gang. So far, at least ten suspects have been arrested. Rio state has suffered for decades from drug-related violence.
