Brazil: Rival protests held over impeachment against suspended leader Rousseff

Rival protests have been held in Brazil days before the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro begin.

Thousands on Rio’s famous beachfront rallied to back the impeachment process against suspended President Dilma Rousseff. She’s accused of manipulating government budgets and will face trial next month.

Meanwhile, Rousseff’s supporters protested against the interim government in Sao Paulo.

Al Jazeera’s Gabriel Elizondo reports from Sao Paulo.
