Dilma Rousseff, Brazil’s suspended president, has given an impassioned defence at her impeachment trial.
She is accused of having taken illegal state loans to patch budget holes.
Rousseff’s arguments failed to impress her opponents and even her staunchest supporters indicated that her fate is sealed.
