Boris Johnson has joined a chorus of voices wishing Captain Sir Tom Moore well.
Sir Tom was taken to hospital on Sunday after finding it difficult to breathe. He remained on a general ward, rather than in intensive care, at his local hospital in Bedford.
He had not received a Covid-19 vaccine because of fears it would interfere with medication he was taking for pneumonia, which he contracted “over the last few weeks”. He tested positive for Covid at the end of last week.
