Boris Johnson returns to work – and compensation announced for NHS coronavirus deaths

Speaking from the steps of Downing Street, he warned that the country was at the moment of ‘maximum risk’ in the struggle against the coronavirus.

He said he understood the anxieties of businesses and the stress that social distancing was causing people. But he warned that the biggest risk to the economy and to life was a second spike in the pandemic. Our political editor Gary Gibbon reports.
