Boris Johnson outlines coronavirus action plan

The UK Prime Minister gives details on how government services will react to the pandemic over the coming months.

The Army will be put on standby and police will be told to stop investigating lower-level crime, the Government’s coronavirus “battle-plan” has revealed.

The 28-page action plan also warns that workplaces could have a fifth of their staff off sick at any one time, meaning that essential public services such as the NHS and police would have to focus on core services only.
