Prime Minister Boris Johnson has refused to hold a public inquiry into Dominic Cummings, saying he was “not certain it is a very good use of official time”.
He also said he would not publish evidence relating to the allegations, feeling he would not be doing his job if he “shuffled” that into the hands of officials.
Speaking to the Liaison Committee, the Prime Minister said a lot of what was written about Mr Cummings “was false… it wasn’t correct”.
