Boris Johnson and Prince Charles observe two-minute silence on VE Day

Boris Johnson, Prince Charles, Keir Starmer and Nicola Sturgeon observed two-minute silence to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day.

The UK fell silent at 11am as it honoured the sacrifice of the Second World War generation 75 years on from the era-defining conflict which scarred Europe.
