South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “Biden’s victory instills fresh hope in Kashmir over revocation of special status” – below is their description.
Joe Biden’s election as the next US president has brought hopes of change to people in Indian-adminstrated Kashmir. In 2019, India revoked the special status previously extended to its part of Kashmir, scrapping the region’s right to make its own laws. Biden has suggested his administration will do more to hold India to account over its actions in Kashmir. Some Kashmiris hope Biden will promote international scrutiny of Indian policies in the region. Support us: https://subscribe.scmp.com
