President-elect Joe Biden is picking a cabinet that’s the “polar opposite” to President Donald Trump’s team, according to US contributor Cam Stewart. Mr Biden named his national security and foreign policy team on Tuesday consisting of Antony Blinken, as secretary of state, Alejandro Mayorkas, as secretary of homeland security, Avril Haines, as director of national intelligence, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, as ambassador to the United Nations, Jake Sullivan, as national security adviser, and John Kerry as special presidential envoy for climate “This is an establishment Washington team with long connections, it’s the polar opposite to Donald Trump’s team which, of course, is what Joe Biden wants to do,” Mr Stewart told Sky News. “(Donald Trump) put outsiders in here like Rex Tillerson as secretary of state, Michael Flynn in his short stint as national security adviser, this is a different sort of team. “Biden is of this sort of era, he’s of the establishment Washington, the Obama kind of scene, even the George Bush sort of scene, he really is a throwback.”
